Artheget-EZ is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients: Artemether and Lumefantrine. It is  used for the treatment of malaria, particularly uncomplicated cases caused by Plasmodium falciparum.

Artemether: It is the class of medications known as artemisinin derivatives, which are potent antimalarial drugs. Artemether acts by killing the malaria parasites in the blood.

Lumefantrine: It is a part of the aryl amino alcohol class of antimalarial medications. Lumefantrine works by inhibiting the growth and replication of the malaria parasites.

Indications

Artheget-EZ is  for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria infections caused by Plasmodium falciparum. It is not effective against other types of malaria parasites.


Mode of Action:The combination of Artemether and Lumefantrine works  to provide a more effective treatment for malaria. Artemether instantly reduces the parasite load, while Lumefantrine eliminates the remaining parasites and prevents recurrences.

Dosage and Administration:

The doseof Artheget-EZ depends on elements  such as the patient's weight, age, and the severity of the infection.

It is  taken orally as tablets with food or milk to enhance absorption.
